Paul D. Cass
Attorney at Law
I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and came to the United States as a student for undergrad, grad school, and law school. My background instilled in me an understanding of the challenges and aspirations of individuals wanting to immigrate to the U.S., which sparked my interest in immigration law.
I believe wholeheartedly in the power of education, and this unwavering belief permeates every aspect of my work as an attorney. Prior to delving into the realm of law, I was pursuing a career as an academic, specializing in Chinese History. It was during this time that I dedicated myself to the pursuit of knowledge, earning my Bachelor of Arts degree from Reed College and subsequently obtaining my Master of Arts degree from Washington University.
However, as I embarked on this academic journey, a realization dawned upon me—the profound impact I could make as an attorney, touching the lives of families and individuals and affecting positive change in society. It was this realization that ultimately prompted me to transition my focus and embark on a new path in law. I found that, through practicing law, I would have the opportunity to channel my passion for education into a force for the greater good, advocating for justice and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
My Legal Career
I attended Yale Law School, where I received an award for Jurisprudence, and it's there that I solidified my commitment to serving others through law. I chose Yale for its reputation and because I knew it would challenge me in ways that would ultimately make me a better attorney.
Over the years, I've dedicated myself to cultivating a profound and comprehensive understanding of immigration law. I have successfully guided numerous clients through the intricate and ever-evolving processes associated with securing visas, permanent residency, and citizenship. In addition, I work with businesses on a wide range of employee immigration matters. I take great pride in providing meticulous attention to detail and personalized guidance, ensuring that each client receives the utmost support and advocacy throughout their immigration journey.
Beyond immigration, my knowledge spans business transactions and litigation, as well as estates and trusts. I've guided businesses through various legal processes, from formation to dispute resolution and succession planning. And I've worked closely with many families to craft comprehensive estate plans that are tailored to their unique needs and goals.
My Approach
What sets me apart from other attorneys is my personal approach — I'm here to provide real solutions to real people. I take the time to listen to my clients' stories and provide genuine support.
My legal strategies are always tailored to their unique needs and goals. I don't just see you as a client; I see you as a person who deserves compassionate and intelligent legal guidance.
I'm proud to say that I've earned the respect of my peers and clients alike. My dedication to providing top-notch legal services has earned me membership in professional associations such as the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. I've even served as Chair of the Immigration Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
More About Me
I am fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, enabling me to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients. I'm admitted to practice law in California and various federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and several U.S. District Courts.
My most memorable experience as an attorney was representing clients who almost died from fugu poisoning. It's not related to immigration or business law, but it stands out because it's a testament to my ability to handle a wide range of cases.
In addition to my legal work, I have a passion for reading, writing, and travel. I believe that these hobbies keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance in life.
I understand that dealing with legal issues can be stressful. That's why I strive to make the process as smooth and straightforward as possible. Clients have praised my responsiveness, knowledge, and fair approach. I offer reasonable service fees to make my services accessible to everyone.
If you're looking for an attorney who is dedicated, empathetic, and experienced, I'd be honored to represent you. Whether you need guidance with immigration, estate planning, or business law matters, I'm here to help. Let's secure your future and protect your rights together.
